Sweden-China Trade Council in close cooperation with a delegation from Jiangning District, Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, is proud to invite to this Industrial Cooperation Exchange Conference focusing on the investment environment of Jiangning District. During the conference, the delegation will fully share the new opportunities of economic development in Nanjing, and establish a multi-field, all-dimensional and deep-seated platform for connecting resource factors, and further promote the industrial exchanges and cooperation between China and Sweden.
Jiangning District is located in the central and southern part of Nanjing city, the capital of Jiangsu Province, covering an area of 1,563 square kilometers and has a resident population of over 1.95 million. It is the district with the largest area and the largest economic volume in Nanjing. In 2022, the regional GDP exceeded 300 billion RMB, and the comprehensive strength ranked third among the top 100 new urban areas in China.
Jiangning is located at the intersection of the “Belt and Road Initiative” and economic belts of the Yangtze River. It has attracted over 1,200 foreign enterprises, including 78 globally well-known private enterprises such as LG, Schaeffler, Phoenix Contact, Ford, Honeywell, PROTEGO®, Leitz and is also the location for Ericsson Panda Communication Co., Ltd. With over 1,750 import-export enterprises, Jiangning’s import and export scale reached 160 billion yuan in 2022, accounting for 1/4 of the city scale. It has become an “important window” opening to the outside world. Also, there are 24 universities in the district, over 350,000 lecturers and students and 61 academicians (including cooperative relations).
