China’s 14th Five-Year Plan and what it means for EU businesses

Sweden-China Trade Council is happy to invite our members to attend a webinar on April 29, 2021, in collaboration with the EU-China Business Association and Flanders-China Chamber of Commerce, about China’s 14th Five-Year Plan and what it means for EU business.

The 14th Five-Year Plan incorporates policies to be adopted in the period 2021-2025 and sets long-range targets to be achieved by 2035. The plan sets out the next phase of China’s economic growth, environmental protection strategy and social development, with an emphasis on promoting green and low-carbon development.

During the webinar, our distinguished speaker, Iris Pang, Chief Economist, Greater China at ING Bank, will share her views on the intended impact of the 14th Five-Year Plan on China’s economy and the likely consequences for China’s relationship with Europe.

Iris Pang, Chief Economist, Greater China, ING Bank. She joined ING in 2017. Iris was previously employed by Natixis and OCBC Wing Hang Bank. She earned a PhD in economics from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
