Is “Made in China” going out of style? Implications of the US-China trade conflict


 

Sweden-China Trade Council is happy to introduce Johan Nylander, an award-winning author and freelance China and Asia correspondent for this webinar on February 2, 2020. Johan will define the trade conflict between the US and China from different perspectives and the implications the conflict has on manufacturing not only in China. Johan will also touch upon  the effects of the future for Hong Kong as China’s only international financial center.

Johan Nylander’s work is published by CNN, Forbes, Sweden’s leading business daily Dagens Industri, and many other international media outlets. He’s the author of The Epic Split – Why ‘Made in China’ is going out of style”. In short, the book is a report from the frontline of the US-China trade war.

Nylander is also is the author of ‘Shenzhen Superstars – How China’s smartest city is challenging Silicon Valley’, which became an Amazon bestseller, as well as other books. He frequently gives speeches about Chinese business and tech trends, as well as how to navigate a new world of trade war, decoupling and boycotts.
