China’s 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030) will be released when the People’s Congress comes to an end on March 11. This policy blueprint will set the economic and industrial direction for the world’s second-largest economy over the next five years. For Swedish industry, understanding its priorities is not optional – it is a strategic must, whether your company is already active in China or assessing its future role in your global strategy.

Business Sweden are now launching a dedicated series to deep dive into China and the soon to be released Five-Year Plan and we are therefor happy to invite you to a presentation with Per Portén, Trade Commissioner to China, Business Sweden, to learn more about the series and the implications of the Five-Year-Plan for Swedish companies.
Consider China’s importance for Sweden:
• Sweden’s largest export market in Asia, with 65,5 billion SEK in exports (2025).
• Over 10,000 Swedish companies trade with China; 600+ have operations there.
• 30% of the worlds industrial output and a growing hub for advanced manufacturing, green transition, and innovation.
