In 2010 Zhejiang Geely Holding Group acquired Volvo Cars from Ford. It was an acquisition that surprised many. Almost ten years have passed and the acquisition has turned out very successful. What are the success factors, what can others learn from this and how can Zhejiang Geely Holding Group ensure a sustained success?

We have invited Anna Jonsson, Associate Professor, Lund University and Magnus Sundemo, Senior Consultant with a long career at Volvo Cars to give us insights in this evolving learning process during a breakfast meeting on November 28 in Stockholm.

Anna Jonsson, Associate professor in business administration and senior lecturer at Department of Business Administration at Lund University, and researcher at Score at Stockholm University and Stockholm School of Economics. Her research mainly focus on knowledge sharing and learning in organizations and society, and has received interest for her research on IKEA and Mannheimer Swartling.

Magnus Sundemo, Master of Science in mechanical engineering with a long career at Volvo Cars in a variety of roles. He was chairman of the Volvo Cars Academic Association and member of Volvo Cars Board of Directors  in 12 years.  In 2018 he released his book “The Truth About Volvo”. Since 2017 he works as a senior consultant and runs his own podcast Garaget International with focus on mobility and automotive.
