Torsten Linder

Torsten Linder, born in 1958, currently holds a position as Senior Area Sales Manager Trucks Asia Pacific at Scania CV AB.

Grew up in Thailand, Nigeria and Brazil. After graduation from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm Torsten Linder joined Scania’s Trainee programme for Export Sales. Torsten Linder has held several managerial positions within Scania, among them 13 years abroad. International business with emerging complex markets and establishment of Scania presence in new markets has been dominating his career within Scania during the past 30 years.

First business visit to China was in late 1989 and with the establishment of Scania’s local representation for Greater China in Hong Kong 1994 Torsten Linder also relocated to Hong Kong and held the responsibility for Scania’s overall business in Greater China until 2003. After various positions within Africa and the Middle East Torsten Linder is since 2016 again working with the development of Scania’s business in China through Scania’s China Desk in Södertälje with frequent travelling to China.

Torsten Linder is also a Senior Advisor of the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in Sweden.

Torsten Linder became Member of the Board of Directors of SCTC in 2020.
