Stefan Lundin

Stefan Lundin, born in 1974, is the Head of PR and Communications for Zheijiang Geely Holding Group’s activities in Sweden and is responsible for the launch and PR of the new Geely Innovation Centre for Europe that is being built at Lindholmen in Gothenburg.

Earlier in his career, Stefan has an extensive experience in Swedish core industry. He was the Head of Communications for the largest commercial port in Scandinavia, the Port of Gothenburg, which is also a sister port to the Port of Shanghai. Stefan also worked for Geely in Sweden earlier as Corporate PR Director for Geely’s Swedish R&D company CEVT (China Euro Vehicle Technology) which is among the first companies in Sweden started from scratch by a Chinese company.

Stefan started working with China when he was responsible for communication and market information at the Swedish ball bearing giant SKF, focusing first on the global counterfeit industry where China plays a big role, and then being communication manager for SKF Logistics Services worldwide. In that position he among other tasks oversaw the design and exhibition part of the new SKF Logistics hub in the free trade zone in Shanghai.

Stefan is a PR & Communications professional who has a long experience in helping people of different nationalities and cultures to understand each other. An avid Wechat user, Stefan keeps in touch with his many Chinese friends on a daily basis and keeps up to date with developments in China.

“I spent the first 10 years of my career doing marketing and PR the traditional way, then I started working with China and Chinese people and realized that speed is everything. And that to start is more important than to have a super detailed plan. This is now something I use to good effect in my work, and I see many benefits from thinking a little bit like a Swede and a little bit like a Chinese.”
